The founders and partners of Artisan Custom Homes, Jay Johnstone, Brad Remmey and John Shryock, have each earned
the title of Certified Green Professional from the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). This designation
recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into
homes- without driving up the cost of construction. The certification requires 24 hours of NAHB-approved coursework,
and additional continuing education every two years.
Artisan Custom Homes are built to green certification and ENERGY STAR® compliance specifications. Criteria
include energy, water and resource efficiency, lot and site development, indoor environmental quality, and homeowner
education. Our company is also a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, a non-profit community of leaders working
to make green buildings available to everyone within a generation.
