Residential real estate
New builder targets 12 closings
By Jennifer Boyd Sidden
A newly formed custom homebuilding company is on track to close a dozen homes in the next 12 months.
Artisan Custom Homes was formed a year ago by partners Jay Johnstone, Brad Remmey and John Shryock and started
gearing up for production in January.
Since then, it's pre-sold three homes and started two speculative homes. Within a year, the trio expects to have
sold 12 homes, mostly on the northern side of Charlotte.
The following year, they hope to build 15 homes and remain at that number for a while.
They're targeting revenue of $2.5 million in 2002 and $5 million in 2003.
The company is focusing on homes priced from $400,000 to $700,000, a range Remmey says they see opportunity in
since many of Charlotte's high-end custom builders try to stay above $600,000.
Artisan moved into new offices at 104 Knox Court in Davidson in March. |
